Nagula Chavithi

India Inclusiveness - Unity in Diversity  
Nagula Chavithi, a festival to worship Nag Devatas (Serpent Gods) celebrated in Some parts of South India.
Snakes are part of maintaining ecological balance and helping agriculture.Worshiping Nature is part of Indian culture.

Some people worship Naga devatha idol at home or temple and perform puja. But in some places, devotees go to 'Putta' (Snake pit) and offer naivedyam and perform other pujas, fireworks.
